End-to-end encryption (E2EE) is an incredibly safe way of sending digital information between two parties. It’s encrypted at the sender’s end, turned into what appears to be unreadable garbage, then it’s decrypted at the receiver’s end, and turned back into whatever it was before it was sent.  

The beauty of this is that it’s impossible for anyone sitting in the middle, between the sender and the receiver (such as the Internet service provider whose systems it passes through) to understand it or alter it. 

Needless to say, this makes E2EE perfect for use in our credit card payment systems. You don’t need to know the technical aspects of how it’s done to appreciate the fact that it is done, with every transaction. It’s one more way that we protect you and your customers.
